CLASS
DESCRIPTIONS
All classes are 45 minutes and cost $5 per person.
Beginner Line Dance (Age 16+)
In this class we will learn beginner line dances set to a combination of rock, country, and R&B songs. We will post the exact dance we are doing on Facebook each week.
Intermediate Line Dance (Age 16+)
We will learn intermediate line dances set to a combination of rock, country, and R&B songs. We will post the exact dance we are doing on Facebook each week.
Yacht Rock Yoga (Age 16+)
We will do the same movements as a traditional flow yoga class, but the atmosphere will be a bit more upbeat with classic yacht rock playing in the background (relaxing soft rock music that is perfect for a day on the boat). We want it to be a fun class while you do movements that really help your body as you age. If you have limited mobility and want to sit in a chair, we will modify the yoga moves so that you can participate from the chair. The goal is to do slow, deliberate movements that help make you more flexible.
Mommy/Daddy and Me (Age 0-4)
We will work on very basic dance concepts and learn some other developmental skills set to child-appropriate music. The idea of this class is for the kids to have fun and interact with each other. This is a 30 minute class and the parent/guardian participates for free.
Pop Music Dance (Age 5-8)
We will learn basic dances to child-appropriate music in a no pressure environment. We want to teach the kids about the joy of movement, not about being perfect on every step.
Pop Music Dance (Age 9-17)
We learn the pop style of dance. We do a new song every class.
Dance Aerobics (Age 16+)
We work up a sweat to 80s and 90s music by doing basic jazzercise-style dance moves. This class is appropriate for all skills and mobility levels. Mamas, this class would be perfect to take while you are wearing your baby. We don’t do any jumping moves, so the movements are gentle enough for your baby.
Tai Chi (Age 16+)
Tai Chi is full of slow, deliberate movements with the goal of improving balance and flexibility. These movements are also very soothing to your nervous system. This class is suitable for everybody, including those who have serious mobility issues. We can modify any movements that are difficult.
